4. Born Digital

Cris Tagle

Cris Tagle

Chief Executive Officer, Zynappse Corporation

Though Cris studied Electrical Engineering at the Technological Institute of the Philippines, his interest lies with Information Technology. He became so adept at Geographic Information System (GIS) that his company sent him to Tokyo for further training in 1996. He would go on to develop an advanced GIS Solution that won his team first place in the Tokyo GIS Presentation Event of 1996.

In fact, long before Google Maps, Cris was already designing and working on various digital online maps for crime monitoring, forest management, land use zoning, network and spatial analysis

Cris could have easily made a solid career working with multinationals but he chose to come back to the Philippines. He worked as a Technology Manager for a local company that creates solutions for Local Government Units where he pioneered the creation of a Revenue-Based GIS Application. The same system was able to generate millions of tax revenues and identify billions more of potential tax income for Cities like Manila, Antipolo, Biñan, Calamba, Tagaytay and more.

In 2007, he watched in awe as the late Steve Jobs introduced the first iPhone (3G). When the iPad was released, Cris started creating mobile applications for it. His first mobile app is a badminton-scoring app.

This new skill enabled him to create an Executive Report System in an iPad that was utilized by local chief executives of prominent Cities for their business development and revenue generation.

And in 2014, Cris quit his day job and founded Zynappse Corporation, a 100% Filipino owned, full-scale, end-to-end mobile and cloud-based development company in the country. Today, it is one of the fastest growing mobile app integrators in the Philippines working with leading corporations like Resorts World Manila, Alaska, Alfamart, EXACT to name a few.

Today, you’ll find Cris busy spending his time working on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies. His goal is to deploy a powerful Chatbot that would help various industries to reduce operation cost, provide convenience and real time information to all users.
